Our Story

Dhanak Deira has been in Omar Shahid’s family since 2008, with his late father running the restaurant until Omar took over in 2011.

Our goal has always been to not only to have great tasting food, but to also run an efficient and friendly service that will leave our customers with a smile on their face.

Following an extensive refurbishment, the entrepreneurial team were keen to keep the legacy of Dhanak Deira running whilst enhancing the interiors and menu.

Our menu encompasses a wide variety of regional and traditional cuisines native to India, Pakistan and China.

Dhanak Deira is re-opening with a brand new Indo-Chinese fusion menu. The adaptation of Chinese seasoning and cooking techniques to Indian tastes is very popular throughout Malaysia, Singapore and North America.

We are committed to using the best local produce, fresh herbs and carefully selected whole spices, which have allowed our chefs to create our own blend of unique flavours and sauces.

Our Venue

Situated on Blackburn Road in Bolton, our historic building is a former church built in 1903.

Retaining many of the original features, the managing directors Omar Shahid, Nadia Liu & Matthew Chen were keen to preserve much of the restaurant’s history during the renovation works.

The New Dhanak Deira Restaurant will feature an outstanding New Indian Menu with a touch of Asian Chinese influence in an upscale and cozy atmosphere.
